The Shroud Of Turin

by Chidambaram Ramesh, The Shroud Of Turin Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Shroud Of Turin books, The Shroud of Turin is a linen cloth bearing the faded image of a man who appears to have undergone physical torture consistent with Roman crucifixion. The Shroud is preserved in the St.John Cathedral in Turin, Italy. It is widely believed to have wrapped the body of historical Jesus of Nazareth and has become one of the most perplexing enigmas for the researchers. The author has attempted to explain the scientific causes of the image on the Shroud under the realm of quantum physics. By drawing a plethora of evidences from the alchemical secrets of resuscitating spectral plants out of ashes, the author establishes that material body of organisms, even if consumed to ashes, retain their selfsame form and figure. Even parts of the body like blood, skin etc., are capable of forming the 3D geometrical structure of the host organism in its entirety, which is a quantum hologram in the modern scientific terminology. According to this theory, the Shroud image is an imprint of the Quantum Self. This is the first book on Shroud of Turin by an Indian author, and proposes for the first time, the quantum bio-holographic idea to explain the Shroud image. It also gives re-birth to the forgotten science of palingenesis – the resurrection of spectral images of plants out of ashes. The author has attempted to explain almost all the peculiar characteristics of the Shroud image like photographic negativity, spatial encryption of 3D data, non-directionality and other amazing aspects.

Origins History And Social Structure In Brunei Darussalam

by Victor T. King, Origins History And Social Structure In Brunei Darussalam Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Origins History And Social Structure In Brunei Darussalam books, This wide-ranging book re-evaluates in detail the early history and historiography of Brunei Darussalam, the origins of the sultanate, its genealogical foundations and the structure and administration of Brunei society. Contributors draw on the seminal work of Donald E. Brown whose major monograph on the sultanate was published in 1970 and marked the beginnings of advanced sociological, anthropological and historical research on Brunei. Among the key issues addressed are status systems, titles and social stratification, Chinese sources for the study of Brunei, Malay oral and written histories and traditions, the symbolism, meanings and origins of coronation rituals, previously unknown sources for the study of Brunei history and the processes of incorporation of minority populations into the sultanate. Contributions by leading scholars of Brunei, Borneo and the wider Indonesian-Malay world, both from within Brunei Darussalam and beyond, address some central preoccupations which Brown raised and which have been the subject of continued debate in Austronesian and Southeast Asian studies. A novel contribution to the study of the history of Brunei Darussalam, this book will be of interest to scholars of Southeast Asian history, Asian history, Colonial and Imperial history and anthropology.

Ethnomusicology

by Jaap Kunst, Ethnomusicology Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Ethnomusicology books, This booklet hardly needs a preface; the contents, I think, speak for themselves. It contains a short and carefully brought up to date resume of all that I, as a private University Lecturer in Amsterdam, have tried to teach my pupils. It is intended as a general introduction to ethnomusicology, before going on to the study of the forms of separate music-cultures. I sincerely hope that those, who wish to teach themselves and to qualify in this branch of knowledge, will find a satisfactory basis for self tuition in the matter here brought together. Regarding the possibility of a new edition, any critical remarks or infor mation as to possible desiderata would be very gratefully received. J. K. PREFACE TO THE SECOND EDITION My request for critical remarks and desiderata has not been ignored. My sincere thanks to all who took the trouble to let me know what they missed in my booklet. Through their collaboration the contents have undergone a considerable improvement and enlargement as compared to the original edition issued in 1950 by the Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam, under the title 'Musicologica'. I have taken care to add many particulars from non-European sources, with the result that now the book is no longer so Europe-centric as it was.

The Aboriginal People Of Peninsular Malaysia

by Govindran Jegatesen, The Aboriginal People Of Peninsular Malaysia Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Aboriginal People Of Peninsular Malaysia books, To date, most studies of Malaysia’s aboriginal people, the Orang Asli, have studied the community in either the rural or forest settings. This book, however, outlines the dynamics of Orang Asli migration to Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia’s most urbanised region – and explores the lived experiences of these individuals in the urban space. The book begins by charting the history of the Orang Asli under British colonial rule followed by the community’s experiences under the Malaysian government, in an attempt to provide a deeper understanding of the economic and social complexities facing the Orang Asli today. Based on extensive original research, the book goes on to discuss the interesting changes taking place among urban Orang Asli migrants with regards to gender dynamics, while exploring the unique ways in which these urban indigenous migrants maintain close links with their home communities in the rural spaces of Peninsular Malaysia. The book concludes by assessing how research on the urban Orang Asli fits into broader studies of urban and contemporary indigeneity in both Malaysia and abroad.
