A History Of Post Keynesian Economics Since 1936

by John Edward King, A History Of Post Keynesian Economics Since 1936 Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download A History Of Post Keynesian Economics Since 1936 books, Arguing that post-Keynesian economics extended the discussion to questions neglected by Keynes and challenged orthodox macroeconomics, King (economics, La Trobe U., Australia) traces the development of post-Keynesianism from its origins in the 1930s to possible future developments. Along the way, he examines the challenges of the theory to the neoclassical paradigm of the 1970s, its ultimate failure to prevail, the differences between various schools of post-Keynesian theory, and relations with other economic theories. He treats the topic as solely an intellectual history, not discussing how political and social power may have affected the ability of one or the other economic theories to prevail. Emerging Economies And The Global Financial System

by Bruno Bonizzi, Emerging Economies And The Global Financial System Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Emerging Economies And The Global Financial System books, This book provides a comprehensive overview of the financial integration of emerging economies through an in-depth analysis of the international monetary system, how it impacts capital flows and exchange rates, and its implications for policy making. The financial integration of emerging economies has been a remarkable development of the past two decades. The growth of cross-border transactions and asset ownership, not least through the accumulation of foreign exchange reserves, has put many of these countries in a more prominent, if still peripheral, position within the global financial system. This has not been a smooth process, as integration has been marked by cyclical waves of capital flows, with financial and currency instability often accompanying the acute phases of these cycles. While conventional economic theory traditionally sees financial integration as a positive development, Post-Keynesian economists, working in the tradition of Keynes, Minsky and Kalecki, have long taken a more sceptical viewpoint. By centring the analysis of financial dynamics on concepts as liquidity, uncertainty, balance-sheet structures and institutions, Post-Keynesian theory highlights the intrinsic character of shocks imposed by financial integration upon emerging economies, and their implications for economic growth and distribution. This book demonstrates that these analyses can be fruitfully used to gain a better understanding of financial (in)stability and economic development in emerging economies as they integrate into the global financial system. This work provides key reading for students and scholars of economics, political economy and finance that are interested in the financial integration of emerging economies, and how the heterodox tradition of Post-Keynesian economics contributes to its analysis.

Making Of Economics The 4th Edition Vol Ii The Modern Superstructure

by Canterbery E Ray, Making Of Economics The 4th Edition Vol Ii The Modern Superstructure Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Making Of Economics The 4th Edition Vol Ii The Modern Superstructure books, Volume II in The Making of Economics, 4th Edition series fills a major gap in the literature of economics, providing in brief fashion a complete treatment of high theory in economics. Like Volume I, the book is accessible to the intelligent reader, be they advanced undergraduate or graduate students, laypeople, or professors of economics and finance. The author walks the reader through the maze of contemporary economics, acquainting them with the most up-to-date theories as well as recent economic history. The learning tasks are eased by volleys of examples as well as dramatic illustrations. The progression is from neoclassical Keynesian economics to monetarism, continuing with mathematical economics and econometrics, the theory of economic growth, the new classical economics, game theory, experimental economics, and global economics. For example, common threads between Smithian classical economics and new classical economics are woven into the fabric of discussions directing the way to the higher theory. The new chapters on mathematics and econometrics, game theory, experimental economics, and globalization are not to be found in other surveys of what the author calls the ';Modern Superstructure of Economics.'; Although designed to be used with Volume I, it can also stand alone as a text or textbook supplement for a wide range of courses in economics and finance. This book is also available as a .
